Spohn Performance is proud to sponsor Marlow & Sons Racing.
Marlow & Sons Racing is based out of Clements, MD. They campaign a 1991 Camaro RS driven by Al Marlow. The team mainly competes in drag radial heads up racing series, as well as some index and Outlaw 10.5 races. They are a regular competitor in the series at Maryland International Raceway finishing second in points for the 2007 season. The Marlows also made the tow down to Florida for the 2007 World Street Nationals at Orlando Speedway qualifying #9 in a field of over 100 cars for the drag radial class. Unfortunately the weather prevented the event from ever really happening, but they'll be back down in '08!
The drag radial racing series require a stock style suspension, so it's a perfect place to race our components. Al ran a best in 2007 of 7.88 @ 176 MPH with a 1.24 60' time. Before making the switch to Spohn components, Al's best was 8.0X's with a 1.34 60' time. With no other changes made, Al dropped a full tenth off his 60' and two tenths off his ET.
The Marlow boys now have the car down for winter freshening. When the 2008 season starts in April be sure to check back to this page often as we will update this page on a continual basis documenting Al's adventures throughout the 2008 season. Action pictures, videos, and race results will all be updated as the Marlow boys run through the 2008 season.
