Moser Engineering's M9 full floater drag race rear end is designed to be the best in class when a full floater rear end is required (What is a full floater rear end?). The extremely high strength chrome moly rear end housing is perfect for Pro-Mod, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman and any other class where a racer wants the safety and strength that a full floater rear end affords.
Moser Engineering uses its premium 40 spline axle shafts along with Moser Engineering designed 40 spline aluminum hubs and 4130 chrome moly drive flanges. The hub assemblies can be built to accomodate a standard 5 x 5" bolt circle or a 5 x 4.75" bolt circle. Combined with Moser Engineering's various choices of 40 spline spools and 9" or 9.5" competition center sections, it's a bullet-proof set up!
The Moser Engineering M9 full floater drag race rear end housing is made from 1/8" thick CNC laser cut and formed 4130 chrome moly that is formed from one triangulated piece. It uses oversized 3.50" o.d. x .250" wall 4130 chrome moly axle tubes for increased strength. With a 3/8" thick 4130 chrome moly face plate combined with internal bulkheads and gusseted reinforcements this housing is made to take on the toughest racing conditions.
Drain and fill plugs, brake rotors, dual caliper brake brackets, bearings, seals and spindles are all standard. Optional four link suspension brackets and back brace can be installed to complete the package. Wilwood Dynalite forged four piston brake calipers are offered to finalize the rear end, or you can install your own. You can use one brake caliper per end or you can run two brake calipers per end for maximum braking power (uses a .380" thick brake rotor).
