Application: 1982-1992 GM F-Body

The Moser Engineering Ford 9" rear is for those looking for the ultimate in "bullet-proof" performance and longevity!

All M/E bolt-in 9" housings are made with new heavy duty housing cores, seamless steel tubing (3" O.D., 1/4" wall) and new laser cut brackets.

The Moser 9" is 100% bolt in compatible for your 1982-1992 F-Body. It includes the torque arm mount on the housing, and all necessary lower control arm, panhard bar, and shock mounts.

The Moser 9” rear ships via UPS in four packages. They are complete (less brakes) and include instructions for mounting your disc brakes.

The standard set up includes:

• Housing w/brackets
• M/E Custom Alloy Axles (up to 40 spline)
• Wheel Bearings
• Wheel Studs
• Retainer Plates
• Complete center section which includes Case, Spool or Posi, Aluminum Pinion Support, 1350 Pinion Yoke, Ring & Pinion, and Assembly

To install a stock style sway bar, you will need a Spohn Performance sway bar installation kit.

The Moser rear comes equipped with a 1350 series pinion yoke. If you will be re-using the stock driveshaft, you will need a conversion u-joint.

Note: 1982-1992 F-Body rear drum brakes are not compatible and can't be used. 1982-1992 F-Body 9 or 10 bolt rear disc brakes will require modifications to the backing plates (drawing included). 1993-1997 and 1998-2002 F-Body rear disc brakes, Moser drum brake kit, and Wilwood rear disc brakes will install with no modifications.
